Does your school or agency have:

  • 5 to 25 students interested in learning about technology?
  • Computers or laptops with Internet access?
  • An Instructor/Coordinator interested in teaching about computer technology?
  • An administrator supportive of students assisting teachers with their computer problems?
  • Funding from sources such as California After-School Education and Safety (ASES) grants (Proposition 49), Career Tech Ed, Carl Perkins grants, Federal 21st Century Learning Center grants, site or district program allocations, local businesses, foundations, or service organizations, i.e. Lions Club or Rotary?

The core elements of the program include:

  • Online curriculum with computer, software, troubleshooting and problem solving modules
  • Hands-on activities, quizzes, and performance-based assessments
  • Student-run help desk with ticket management system
  • Volunteers to assist with curriculum, help desk, mentoring
  • Internships for high school youth

Program Fee:

  • The program fee of $2,000 covers licensing, training and program materials and support.
  • Mini-Grants of $250 to $1,000 are available for qualified California schools. See the MOUSE Squads Funding page for more information on grants and on what is included in the fees.
