MOUSE Squad of California hosts MSCA Summit 2008
Half of the 40 MOUSE Squad of California (MSCA) sites, which are comprised of mostly middle schools but also include YMCAs and other community based organizations, met on May 30 at the Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley to share curriculum best practices, implementation and help desk strategies. Faculty Advisors were invited to attend workshops throughout the day addressing program-related topics and they also received a 'Computer-in-a-Box' with hands-on lessons to use with their students. At a reception immediately following the summit, MSCA Program sponsors (including Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Intel Corporation, Xilinx, IBM, and Robert Half Technology), nonprofits and volunteers were recognized for their ongoing support and participation.
